APPlied performance series
The Applied Performance Series is a targeted development model designed to improve how goalies perform in real game situations by directly addressing specific, high-impact problems. Each series combines on-ice execution with detailed video breakdown, ensuring athletes not only perform the skill, but understand it at a deeper decision-making level.
The structure is built for maximum transfer.
Day 1 begins on the ice, where goalies are exposed to the problem through game-realistic scenarios, followed by a video breakdown to analyze decisions, reads, and technical execution. Day 2 starts with video, allowing athletes to pre-load adjustments and visualize solutions before stepping on the ice, followed by a high-tempo on-ice session and a second video review to reinforce corrections. Day 3 returns to an on-ice focus, emphasizing execution under pressure, with a final post-session video breakdown to solidify habits and identify key takeaways.
The goal of the series is to bridge the gap between understanding and execution—developing goalies who can read situations faster, make better decisions, and consistently apply refined techniques in game conditions.

Ron Slavick offers private lessons to goalies of all ages and skill levels. Private lessons allow a goalie not only the chance to develop at their own pace, but it allows Ron the opportunity to specify the training to each individual. The foundation skills will be constantly worked on while adding new techniques that will help the goalie develop.
