Ron SLavick
Ron Slavick is a respected professional goaltending development coach and presently serves as Director of Goaltending for Little Caesars Hockey Club, a position he’s held since 2022 With over 25 years of experience coaching goalies, Ron brings a wealth of expertise to every level of the position.
His coaching career began in Michigan’s elite youth hockey circuits, eventually leading him to found Unique Breed Goaltending in 2013, where he served as Owner, and Director of Goalie Development. Ron has worked with goaltenders across all ages and skill levels, from grassroots learners to elite level goaltenders, providing tailored development, and advanced technique.
Throughout his career, Ron has coached teams to dozens of state championships as well as multiple National Championships. Since taking over as Director of Goaltending for Little Caesars Hockey Club, Ron has played a key role in an unprecedented run of success--Little Caesars teams have captured 31 out of a possible 36 Michigan State Championships under his goaltending leadership. His expert development approach and ability to elevate goaltenders at every level have been a driving force behind the club's dominance on the state and national stage. In every role—whether developing young goalies or leading goaltending at one of the country’s top youth hockey organizations—Ron Slavick’s mission has been the same: to elevate each goalie’s performance, foster a winning mindset, and build lifelong character through the goaltending position.
In the summer months, you will find him mentoring and coaching goalies through private lessons as well as being a key member of the coaching staff at Bandits Goalie School, where he helps lead instruction at the Elite and Pro Camps.
